Grant Broadcasters announces partnership with Triton Digital

Former Assistant Editor

Grant Broadcasters has selected Triton Digital to power the delivery, monetization, and measurement of its online audio content.

Triton Digital is a leading technology provider for the global audio industry, and the new partnership will allow Grant Broadcasters to utilise Triton’s streaming network to deliver high-quality audio content from their 47 commercial broadcast stations online.

Grant Broadcasters will also have access to the Tap Ad Server to dynamically insert highly targeted audio ads into their content.

The family-owned and operated network will leverage Triton’s programmatic audio marketplace (a2x®) and audio SSP (Yield-Op), in order to make their audio inventory available to media buyers around the world through both open and private marketplace deals.

“Triton Digital sets the bar high with continuous investment in their technology and services, along with their knowledgeable and reliable support team that simply cannot be beat,” said Grant Broadcasters group general manager digital, Rohan Dwyer.

“We are thrilled to be working with the Triton team, and are confident that their sophisticated technology will enable us to further grow and evolve our digital audio strategy, and reach our revenue goals.”

“According to the 2018 Infinite Dial Study, 52% of Australians 18+ reported listening to online audio in the last month, which presents an exceptional engagement opportunity for both radio broadcasters and advertisers alike,” added Triton Digital managing director, marketing development and strategy, Benjamin Masse.

“We are pleased to provide Grant Broadcasters with the tools they need to continue delivering an exceptional listening experience to their audience, and a higher return for their advertising partners.”

ACE Radio already has their streaming service and player provided by Triton Digital and have done so for a long time (Except for the Deniliquin and Wangaratta stations).

Macquarie Radio Network and SCA already use a2x.

As for the Ad-Insertion into the live stream and covering up the broadcast commercials it is already bad enough with ARN (using AdsWizz) and on TV Channel 10 covering up the broadcast ads on Tenplay’s Live Stream, It will be a loss for local advertisers trying to get their message across all platforms (as it may not be heard on the live stream at the same time as the normal broadcast) Leave it alone and keep the normal broadcast ads as it is on the live stream (and don’t try to cover it up) and leave it as a pre-roll as the saying goes If it ain’t broke don’t try and fix it.
