Grant Broadcasters appoints Ryan Rathbone as regional CD

Ryan Rathbone has landed a new gig as regional content director at Grant Broadcasters for Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Rathbone returns to Australia after spending the last five years working in New Zealand.

Over those years he split his time between working as the national content director for The Edge Network, and for Mediaworks as a talent coach.

At the 2019 New Zealand Radio Awards he was awarded Content Director Of The Year.

“I can’t wait to meet the passionate local content teams across the country and help them increase audiences in some of the most competitive regional markets in Australia,” he said.

Rathbone has over 15 years experience in commercial radio, having working in metro content director roles for ARN, SCA and Nova Entertainment.

He is also the CEO of Revolver Consultancy.

Rathbone wrote a series of articles for Radio Today earlier in 2019 covering topics from localism to 2DayFM Breakfast, and motivational tips for coaching talent.
