Hear Nick Cody’s first break on Triple M’s The Big Breakfast

A day after their departed colleague Lawrence ‘Moonman’ Mooney debuted on Triple M Sydney, The Big Breakfast’s Robin Bailey and Greg ‘Marto’ Martin were joined for the first time this morning by comedian Nick Cody.

Robin and Marto are great professionals, which meant Nick could chime in when he wanted to and allowing him a smooth transition into the show.

The trio played a segment called ‘Getting To Know Nick Cody’ which saw Nick take centre stage, with his sense of humour fitting in nicely.

The verdict? As Radio Today predicted last year, Nick seems a perfect fit for commercial radio.

He’ll grow into the role and while the Moonman is certainly a unique specimen, Nick is already proving a good foil for Robin and Marto.

Changes to lineups will more often than not result in a ratings dip, and with The Big Breakfast finishing 2018 as the #1 show in Brisbane, it will certainly be interesting to see how the new trio fairs in Survey #1 this year.
