Hello world…. John Laws on The Grill Team

John Laws filled in for Gus Worland this morning on the Triple M Grill Team in Sydney.

They talked everything from 2UE, Alan Jones, Singo and Hinch to Wild Turkey and Football.

When asked by Matty about 2UE and “how did they stuff that up.. what happened?”?

“I left”, said John.

Matty: “…how did they get it so wrong?”

“… because it was bought by a mob from Melbourne…. A bloke came up from Melbourne, nice enough fellow but he couldn’t run a radio station”

“And he thought that Sydney was Melbourne and he tried to make it like a Melbourne radio station and it simply didn’t work”, said John.

Lawsie also talked about that he could have also moved to 2GB with Alan Jones but didn’t.

 “I am very fond Alan, people think that Alan and I are at loggerheads we are not”

I think he is a very intelligent man and very good radio talent” , said John

Lawsie’s tips for being in radio:  “Enjoy yourself and be natural”

About Triple M? “What stupid bastard called it the m’s?”, asked John.
