Buzzers ready? Hughesy & Ed to host Virtual Trivia for iso-Aussies

The days of sitting around the table with your mates may be a distant memory for now, but the Hit Network has got Australians covered with Hit Virtual Trivia launching on Tuesday 28 April.

Hit Virtual Trivia will have players testing their general knowledge through an interactive live game with themed rounds, hosted by some of the Hit Network’s favourite announcers.

Hit Network drive duo, Dave Hughes and Ed Kavalee, will host the first of eight in the series.

“As a former professional pub trivia host, I can’t wait to get back into it with the fact master general, Hughesy,” said Kavalee. With Hughesy adding his old movie knowledge is “next level”.

Over eight weeks, listeners across the nation will have the chance to win up to $5,000 cash.

Listeners can play solo, or with those in your household, online or by downloading the Hit App.

Hit Network head of content, Gemme Fordham, said whether you’re in Bunbury or Brisbane, Hit Virtual Trivia is about communities together during isolation.

“As a brand we have the opportunity to not only inform, support and encourage our listeners and local communities but also provide entertainment in innovative ways,” she said.

“We know at the moment we can’t head down to the local pub, a have a schnitty and mash and do trivia with friends, so instead we’re bringing it to you.

“You’ll have Hughesy and Ed in your lounge room and the drinks will be chilled in your fridge, so it will be virtually the same experience, only difference is you won’t be able to sneakily Google the answer like usual.”
