Hit92.9’s Heidi calls out adult bullying in society

Staff Writer

Heidi from Hit92.9 Breakfast has taken the opportunity to call out some “horrific” examples of cyberbullying in Western Australia after Constance Hall released a new video reading out messages she has received online.

The video exposed some “disgusting” behaviour by adults, and Heidi called into question the repercussions this behaviour has on children who read it.

“Majority of the comments came from Western Australia,” she said.

“I am repulsed that adults are actually writing disgusting things like telling her to go kill herself or saying that her husband should hang himself.”

“What is wrong with society? We sit here and we say ‘We need to do better with our kids,’ but they’re the role models that we’re seeing online.”

“Kids as young as 12 are being bullied to death.”

gee, don’t you think that most people (let alone their target demographic) are done with all the sob stories? Anxiety, Depression, Bullying etc….. There is a new one almost every week.

I love this girl, but this type of content is self destructive and creates a feedback loop of the original problem/s…

Radio is the wrong outlet for this content…

I was literally going to say, oh not again… until i read the other comment. Agree. It’s the same old story, that just keeps coming up again and again.

Please find some new story arcs, or relatables, whatever they’re called this year.

I couldn’t agree more on the previous comment. I think everyone is sick of SadFM and the new toy OutrageFM as the fall back position for shows that are lacking content ideas an struggling to find ways to fill their talkbreaks when their relatible content runs out.

How about maybe thinking about your content strategy and just stick to being light hearted and entertaining and leave the poor attempt at being “serious” to the “experts” like Today Tonight and A Current Affair!!!
