Hughesy & Kate ready to “force” themselves into your feed

Former Assistant Editor

Ahead of their Hit Network national Drive debut next week, Hughesy and Kate have issued a warning to their listeners via social media.

In the latest promo for the show, the Hit Network clearly targets what it hopes will be a swathe of Hughesy and Kate fans jumping ship from ARN, with the duo announcing “we’re going to be doing what we do, the way we do it, and the way you like it.”

They then flag a plan to increase their social media presence, with Hughesy declaring “we’re going to forcing our way into your feed.”

“We’ll ask politely,” adds Kate. “We’re not Harvey Weinstein.”

Hughesy and Kate will form a formidable team for Drive on Hit after departing ARN last year, with Hit’s national Drive slot split into two shows.

Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little will kick things off between 3:00pm and 4:30pm, before Hughesy and Kate take over for two hours until 6:30pm.

Hughesy and Kate will go head to head with Triple M’s latest Drive show Kennedy Molloy, as well as Nova’s Kate, Tim and Marty, and Will and Woody on KIIS.

Kate – joking about sexual assault is NOT okay.

Hughesy & Kate are good but they’re not Hamish & Andy. H&A didn’t really rate well last year especially not on 2DAYFM.

Are Hughesy and Kate really worth $2 million a year each? Do they really have the power to bring an entire audience over to 2DAYFM the way Kyle and Jackie did when they went to KIIS? I don’t think so. Waste of money
