KIIS FM’s Jackie O faces a month’s quarantine

KIIS 106.5 Breakfast co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson faces further weeks in quarantine due to the coronavirus outbreak on the set of The Masked Singer.

Henderson revealed she tested negative earlier in the week, after Network 10 announced that multiple cast members had confirmed cases of COVID-19.

But now she could face another month in quarantine, with the show forced to shut down filming and 10 revealing the number of cases linked to the cluster has grown to 16.

Speaking on the Kyle & Jackie O Show, Henderson revealed her frustration at not being able to see her daughter Kitty.

“What’s new with you Jackie?” asked co-host Kyle Sandilands to kick off their show on Wednesday (August 26).

“My life is fucked,” she replied. “I can’t get out of Melbourne, I’m going to be stuck here for the rest of my life!

“I have to do 14 days in quarantine, and then another 14 days when I get to Sydney,” she explained.

“It’s fucked. Just want to see my baby girl, far out.”

Fellow judge and Hit Network Drive host Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes is also in quarantine as a result of the outbreak.

You’ll be OK Jackie, cause you’ll get to see Kitty soon.
Some people have lost parents and granparents, or can’t even hug them.
Perspective.

Your life is f*cked?!? Imagine being one of the emerging radio talents whose job was made redundant over the last weeks & months… Who could only imagine earning the kind of salary & having the kind of privilege you receive in your position… And still, your life is f*cked? #perspective

I’m continually amazed at the fragility, some would say weakness, of certain people during this pandemic. For the greater good important health rules have been implemented, yet some people feel they are “special”. These people should talk to their grandparents who went through a war to ensure Australia remained as it is today. Imagine these people if they had to go through the blitz in London, where you didn’t know if you were going to be bombed into obliteration every day. And there was no such thing as the internet where you can actually see and talk to your loved ones whenever you want. A good dose of reality is what is needed for some people.

How much were you paid to be on The Masked Singer Jackie? A seven figure sum allegedly. You really are doing it tough.

Compassion, please! For the love of God!
This is a mother who won’t hold her young daughter for over a month.
Can you people put your bitterness and jealousy aside for one moment? If not for Jacqui then for her daughter?
Honestly, what the hell is wrong with you?
And don’t use her income as an excuse for your revolting lack of humanity.
You are the worst.

Meshel it has nothing to do with jealousy or bitterness!!! It has to do with perspective.
If you can’t see the problem here then you’re part of the problem. People need to remember resilience and stop being such pathetic whiners. People like you who chime in with over the top sympathy when there are so, so, SO many people who are suffering more than Jacki O only encourage the whining snowflake generation. It’s a pandemic for god’s sake and some people need to grow up.

Well said Meshel Laurie. Here, here. Anyone in radio knows Jackie is the hardest working woman in radio and having to do Quarantine, locked in her room for four weeks is draconian and a terrible example of red tape. And all the while doing Australia’s longest and arguably most successful breakfast show M-F.
Jackie has been the first to champion face masks, precautions for all, social distancing and work from home. If only everyone took Carona as seriously as Jackie, we would all be better for it.

Well said Meshel. The negativity and bitterness of these comments… if anyone had bothered to listen to the audio, she was actually laughing when she said it. As in… a joke ! Remember those?

People need to seriously relax. Take a chill pill !

And back to the main topic, given this is a radio website… Kyle and Jack turned her Masked Singer dramas into great content this week. Its been great.

I find it pathetic that people who take a strong opposing view to Jackie are being called ‘bitter’ and ‘jealous’. It’s an easy out for the argument from the sycophants. It’s not bitterness or jealousy it’s simply a strong opinion.
It’s irrelevant how hard she works or how successful she is. Rules are rules – for everyone. And she needs to stop whining and grow up.

Just to clarify, all the nameless men in these comments are telling her to suck it up!

The one woman who happily puts her name to her comment Is the only one supporting Jackie.

In summary a successful woman should not show any emotion when faced with a month long quarantine away from her kids because and I quote ‘perspective’ and ‘first world, rich girl, white problem’

If you want to go Jackie at least put your real and full name to your posts you gutless pieces of human shit.

I heard this, think she was joking actually, she does work on a comedy breakfast show. Seems strange having to do iso twice thought.

Her breakfast show is 4 1/2 hours long and makes ARN a fortune, taking on a big TV show as well is a huge call. Can’t be many hours left for sleeping. Credit to you Jackie.

Please get over it Jackie. People have died from this covid19. 14 x 2 days in quarantine isn’t that hard for you. The CHO directions are there for a reason. You don’t hear complaints from Melbourne who are doing it tough stage 4 restrictions. People have lost there jobs and believe me they are doing it alot harder than you. Stop complaining over 14 days x 2. You are alot more fortunate than other Melbournians.
