SCOOP: Jackie O will be no-show at Radio Alive conference on Friday

Former Publisher

With wet ink on her renewed deal with Australian Radio Network, Jackie Henderson has withdrawn from a much-hyped appearance at the Radio Alive conference in Brisbane on Friday.

Radio Today understands that Henderson had made conference organisers aware of a potential “scheduling conflict”, but an announcement to media went ahead anyway.

CRA has been contacted for comment but did not immediately respond.

As many conference regulars will know, this isn’t the first time the pair will be a no-show.

Sandilands and Henderson, who have previously won the coveted Best On-Air Team award in 2006, 2007, 2011, 2013 and 2015, claimed the gong again in 2018. But they weren’t there to collect it, drawing some criticism.

It’s not all sorry news for conference attendees bound for BrisVegas, however.

Henderson’s on-air partner in crime, Kyle Sandilands, will push ahead and make the trip up north as planned. He will broadcast his top-rating Breakfast show from ARN’s Brisbane studios.

Sandilands and Henderson addressed the radio conference on their KIIS 106.5 Breakfast show on Thursday.
