Staffing changes at Nine Radio’s suite of stations show no signs of slowing, with meteorologist Jane Bunn the latest to depart.

Bunn had presented 3AW weather bulletins on the Ross & John show for the past five years, but has been told she’s “no longer required”.

She took to Twitter to announce her departure, revealing she’ll continue to present on 7NEWS Melbourne.

When asked for comment on Bunn’s departure, a spokesperson for 3AW told Radio Today; “We thank Jane for her contribution to 3AW’s breakfast program.”

Other recent changes at Nine Radio include the appointment of Michael McLaren to host National Overnights, John Stanley joining Paul B Kidd on 2GB Weekends, and Chris Smith’s return to 2GB Weekends.

No surprise really why she is no longer required at 3AW. Jane Bunn works on TV for Channel 7 in Melbourne, but 3AW is part of the rebranded (Channel) Nine Radio network. She’ll be fine though.

Jane’s weather has always been far more accurate than 3AW weather. Silly David Armstrong gives one report ( the same one from 5.30 am until noon) while Ross gives a differing one and both are usually way off the mark.

I think some of the changes at 3aw aren’t positive.
Denis Walter going to evenings, DD doing lunch radio doesn’t fit.
3aw doesn’t need to make such dramatic changes, they’ve lost me that’s for sure.

Why bother with any weather presenters, when all they do is repeat what the BOM forecast and tell them.
So we look up the BOM website, app, Twitter and guess what….yep more accurate than the TV and Radio presenters, funny they all cross to the BOM for updates when needed ,if their presenters were so good why bother with the BOM.

Look up JaneBunn.net for “accurate” forecast 3mm in St Albans yesterday, nearly got it right..suburb got 70mm.
