Hit100.9 larrikins Jimmy & Nath broadcast from mountaintop
There ain’t no mountain high enough for Hit100.9 Breakfast duo Jimmy & Nath.
They have become the first radio show to broadcast a full breakfast shift from the summit of kunanyi / Mount Wellington, in Hobart.
The broadcast was in preparation for host Nathan Roye’s upcoming climb of Mount Kilimanjaro with his partner Meg.
They are making the climb together to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis.
Meg, who lives with the condition, is set to become the first Australian to make the climb with CF and has already raised $45,000 for the cause.
To prepare for the climb, Jimmy & Nath took advantage of the mountain “in our own backyard”, braving the freezing temperatures (and the snow), to give Hobart their brekkie from the very top.
Nath says the experience has made him feel prepared for the climb ahead.
“We did this to practice for climbing Kilimanjaro, we drove up the mountain, sat inside for most of it and ate Maccas. Yep! I think I am ready,” he said
Jimmy, on the other hand, just really enjoyed the morning.
“I love mountains, they really PEAK my interest! Hahaha yes, that joke is HILLarious.”
These too are the next Hamish and Andy. Put them on 2Day breakfast.
