Dew Process is looking for a passionate and smart leader to fil the role of Label Director (12 month contract) within our team in Sydney.

Dew Process is a leading Australian record label, with a roster representing a diverse and exciting range of artists including Tkay Maidza, Mallrat, London Grammar, WAAX, Eves Karydas, Mumford & Sons, Bernard Fanning and many more.

Dew Process is part of the Secret Sounds group, which includes Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Secret Sounds Touring, Village Sounds, Secret Service PR and Secret Sounds Connect.

Reporting to the CEO and CFO, as Label Director you will be responsible for:

• A&R strategy
o Close collaboration with A&R team on planning and strategy across existing roster and new signings
• New business
o Seek out and build relationships with managers, artists, and other industry figures to drive label awareness and develop new business opportunities
• International development
o Managing international release strategies for our domestic roster, including managing distribution relationships, sourcing and managing key 3rd party suppliers
• Artist release strategy:
o Working closely with A+R, Label Manager and artist management to set timelines and asset / release strategy
o Overseeing the Label Manager on implementation of coordination of strategies across PR, digital, traditional retail, e-commerce and DSPs
o Overseeing Label Manager on setting and managing artist budgets
o Overseeing the Content Coordinator to develop social + content strategy for artists
o Managing key relationships, including joint venture partners (Universal), artist management and key DSPs
• Team management
o Overseeing full label release schedule and managing workloads and conflicts
• Business affairs
o With CFO, manage label P&L and manage business reporting, budgets and regular forecasting
• Brand strategy
o Overseeing growth of label’s brand identity

Attributes / skills:
• Minimum 5 years music industry experience
• High level of knowledge of local and international music industry landscape
• Proven experience in music industry related project management
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in team management
• Strategic planning and business development
