Workday Announcer

Southern Cross Austereo, Perth
Application close: 23 Aug 2019

Do you have what it takes to be hit92.9’s next prodigy? This could be your chance!

Tim Lee. Keegs. MC. DC. Ellie Angel.

Some of Australia’s very best Music Announcers have sat in this chair, and done this exact show on Perth’s Hit92.9.

Wanna be the next to jump in the chair?

We’re looking for a Workday Announcer to join us – Someone who is a little ‘out of the box’. Someone who does more than a simple forward sell – Someone who is comfortable breaking a rule, and knows how to connect with the city they live in.

We are also looking for someone who wants to do more than a shift – Who wants to find ways in their day to get out and make noise in the city as an Ambassador for the station.

Make no mistake – we’re looking for the best! Someone who:

Lives and breathes a CHR music format as well as being passionate about pop culture and social media.
Has at least 2 years full-time on air experience.
Is able to prepare and present a tight on air shift that connects with a 18-35 audience.
Is pro-active in all facets of the role to take hit92.9 and your own career to the next level.
Has a full understanding of the commercial radio codes of practice and broadcasting standards.
Above all, has a willingness to learn from their peers and some of the best radio minds in the business.

The opportunities are endless when you’re working for one of Australia’s leading media companies. As the newest member of the team, you’ll get all the support and guidance you need to develop your skills, grow your radio career and reach your full potential.

Interested? If so, please click on the below link to submit your resume, cover letter and demo of your best work! Your demo should express your ability to fold whichever town you are currently in into your show, and a little bit more than the basic ‘tight and bright’ radio.

Southern Cross Austereo reserves the right to commence recruitment activities prior to the closing date.
