Jodie & Soda send petrol back to 2002 prices

Former Assistant Editor

Earlier this month Mix 102.3‘s Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom was named the Unofficial Mayor of Adelaide, and his latest decree has been to drive down petrol prices in the city.

Petrol prices in Australia are at a four-year high, so working with South Australian petrol and convenience retailer OTR, Jodie and Soda gave petrol to the people of Adelaide for 102.3 cents a litre.

The deal was only available between 7am and 8am last Friday and was offered at five OTR locations across the city, with total savings across the hour totalling $30K.

Over 1,000 vehicles took Mix and OTR up on the deal, and Mayor Soda was down at the Pulteney street OTR to help out.

Soda’s reign as Mayor will continue through to the end of the month, and Mix 102.3’s Breakfast team have pledged to give away a Holden Barina later this week.
