RIVER1467 Mildura appoints Joe Cavallo as general manager

Joe Cavallo will join RIVER1467 as general manager in May, replacing Tory Caputo who is moving to Grant Broadcasters’ Port Pirie office.

Cavallo has six years experience in radio sales with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) in the Sunraysia area, and prior to that worked at Harvey Norman, including as a franchisee.

Grant Broadcasters’ regional general manager for Victoria and South Australia, Peter Upton, said it’s great to have Cavallo – “an immensely popular and well-respected Mildura local” – join the team.

Cavallo added that he was extremely excited to join Grant Broadcasters.

“Having grown up in Mildura, I know RIVER1467 has a great history and strong local following, and I can’t wait to get started,” he said.

Grant Broadcasters has also recently been on the hunt for a regional content director across Victoria and South Australia, with Mark Hyland moving into the Breakfast hosting gig on bay93.9.
