Jonesy & Amanda launch podcast about the untold secrets of their lives

Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller may have wrapped up their WSFM Breakfast show for the year, but they have another audio project on the go.

Jonesy & Amanda’s Holiday Book Club podcast is a new offering from Australian Radio Network’s (ARN) iHeartPodcast Network.

In each episode, each host will read sections of their memoirs and discuss the “juicy” details which didn’t make it into the book.

“Nothing is off limits as they each reveal some of the most defining moments of their life, from the first time they fell in love through to the moment their friendship was almost ruined forever,” ARN publicity said.

WSFM’s content director Mike Byrne said the podcast offered opportunities and moments for listeners and advertisers alike.

“Jonesy & Amanda’s Holiday Book Club is a great example of how ARN’s key on-air talent can offer their audience and clients a different way to connect when they aren’t on air,” he said.

“Jonesy and Amanda share some incredibly warm, fun and also at times raw moments during in-depth discussions that wouldn’t be possible to fit in during their breakfast show, which really showcases how podcasts are an important complement to a live radio offering for both audiences and commercial clients.”

In the most recent ratings survey, WSFM had an 8.3% share in Breakfast, placing it behind NOVA Entertainment’s smoothfm (8.5%), and ARN stablemate KIIS (10.7%) in the FM battleground.

Episodes will be released each Tuesday and Friday.
