Joshua Jones departs ARN’s iHeartRadio

Staff Writer

iHeartRadio’s customer loyalty and insights manager, Joshua Jones, has departed.

Jones had been with Australian Radio Network (ARN) for over five years.

Prior to his time in audio, he’d held marketing roles at Samsung, News Corp and Westfield.

His departure comes as ARN readies for a shake-up of iHeartRadio Australia’s strategy, which Radio Today understands includes a looming staff announcement.

Earlier this year, iHeartRadio Australia’s chief operating officer Geraint Davies was stood down as part of COVID-19 cutbacks, however he didn’t return to the business once it stopped tapping into the JobKeeper stimulus program.

Radio Today understands, however, that Jones’ departure is unrelated to any restructure.

He simply resigned to join Airtasker as a CRM manager.

ARN is currently recruiting to fill the role.

Anyone in the know realizes this is a huge loss for ARN… not only was Josh hugely knowledgeable he also added a heap to the culture.

A shame to lose him, another one to add to the mass exodus at ARN. Looks like the spotlight is now on ARN where is everyone going to?
