Katrina Condie joins 2ST and Power FM

Shoalhaven stations 2ST / Power FM have a new journalist in their ranks, appointing Katrina Condie.

Condie is a former editor of the Milton-Ulladulla Times, and will cover news across the Kiama to Ulladulla region.

She will work alongside veteran senior journalist Rob Godda and Highlands journalist Mitchell Kleem.

General manager of 2ST / Power FM, Gavin Flanagan, said Condie’s appointment demonstrated the station’s commitment to localism, despite redundancies across the entire media sector.

“2ST and Power FM are the media leaders in providing live and local coverage across the Shoalhaven, and this appointment is extremely exciting for us given Katrina’s connections within the community,” he said. “We know she will greatly assist the station to broaden our news coverage across broadcast, online, and social media in a way no other media in the Shoalhaven can.”

Condie, who joined on October 6, said she was looking forward to a new chapter.

“I’m really thrilled to be getting back in touch with my community and representing our region as a reliable news source at a grass-roots level,” she said. “After losing our family home at Conjola Park in the bushfires, I’m looking forward to an exciting 2021 – new home, new job, new challenges.”

Glenn ‘Stolzy’ Stolzenheim recently joined a revamped Breakfast show on 2ST.
