Grant Broadcasters launches another edition of The Sideline View, hosted by Kevin Hillier for bay 93.9

Geelong’s bay 93.9 has launched its local version of The Sideline View, to be hosted by Kevin Hillier.

The station’s owner, Grant Broadcasters, has been progressively revealing lineups for the hosts of its new hyper-local sports programs, including Joseph ‘Joppy’ Price for Townsville’s POWER100, and Chris Guscott for 5MU Murray Bridge.

The Sideline View for Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast in Victoria will run every Saturday from 1pm, starting tomorrow, February 20.

Host Hillier said: “I love my sport, love my music, so The Sideline View is my hamburger with the lot.”

General manager of bay 93.9, Andy Mathews, said it was impossible to underestimate the importance of sport in the station’s region.

“It just made sense to create a regular Saturday afternoon show combining everything that’s great about local sport, score updates and music – something for everyone.”

Hillier’s role was previously made redundant at 1116 SEN as Crocmedia’s Craig Hutchison assumed control of the Melbourne sports station.

He then popped up at RSN927AM to host The Late Show with Kevin Hillier.
