Kristina Simich joins 6PR to produce Millsy at Midday

6PR’s new Afternoons program, Millsy at Midday, has recruited Kristina Simich to be a producer.

Simich previously worked at GWN7 News as a video journalist and then producer and reporter across regional Western Australia.

She will be working alongside Steve Mills, who fronts the program from 12pm to 3pm on Monday to Friday.

Mills previously co-hosted 6PR Breakfast alongside now Mayor of Perth, Basil Zempilas.

Zempilas’ election to the mayoral office spearheaded a shake-up at the Nine Radio station, with the Breakfast show disbanding. Zempilas has since joined the inaugural line-up of Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) Triple M Perth Breakfast show alongside Jenna Clarke and Xavier Ellis.

Mills moved into Afternoons, while former Afternoons announcer Simon Beaumont hosts a new weekend Morning program.

6PR Breakfast is now helmed by former Mornings host Gareth Parker.
