Lindsay Webb launches live comedy podcast via Podshape

Staff Writer

Comedian Lindsay Webb has a new podcast, Live At The Podosseum.

It will be performed in front of a live audience at Brisbane’s Sit-Down Comedy Club and be released weekly.

“It’s a fun, interactive and engaging live podcast as Lindsay and the audience dissect the world around us in real time – news, event, current affairs, conspiracy theories and wacky human trains are all up for discussion – think Q&A, only this time the audience is the panel of experts,” publicity for the podcast said.

The podcast is a Podshape production from former NOVA Entertainment executive Jay Walkerden.

Walkerden said: “I love Lindsay. His ability to think on his feet and at the same time make it funny is brilliant. We worked together for a short time earlier this year and when the opportunity came up to work together again, I could not wait.”

Webb said he was excited for the project.

“The opportunity to work with Podshape was too good to go past. They were already kicking major goals early, so when Jay approached me, I was well keen to get involved. Jay really knows podcasts and is a delight to work with, so the process has been fun and productive. I was fortunate enough to have an idea I was holding for the right time when Jay asked. So, boom, here we are in the Podosseum,” he said.

Webb formerly hosted NOVA Entertainment’s podcast Quizicle Kids, which was a trivia-based podcast for children.
