Lisa Shaw leaves Mix94.5 after 21 years

Former Assistant Editor

The Rush Hour’s Lisa Shaw will depart Mix94.5 Perth at the end of the year.

Mix announced today that the popular host, who first joined the station in 1997, won’t return to radio in 2019.

Lisa joined Fred Botica on Botica’s Brunch back then and has most recently co-hosted The Rush Hour with Pete Curulli.

“Lisa’s quick wit, razor sharp intellect and sense of fun will be dearly missed, both by the listeners in Perth and all her workmates here at mix94.5,” said Mix94.5 content director Erica McGee.

“I’ve loved every minute of my time at mix94.5, and it’s my workmates I’ll miss the most,” added Lisa.

“Twenty-one years is a considerable amount of time, and it may take a bit of reprogramming to avoid opening every conversation with family and friends with what the time and temperature is!”

Lisa will finish up on Friday, December 7.

One of Perth’s finest. Lisa you’re a legend. Probably good timing too – I hear 96fm has been talking to her about Breakfast 2019 after a horror ratings year for their current show.

Afternoon radio is not the same without Lisa. Her voice has been a constant at work, in the car and at home. Soo sad to lose her!!

Missing your lovely voice already, you and Pete ended my working day with a laugh as you bounced banter off each other. Was a absolute pleasure listening to you first in the morning when I woke up then in the afternoon on my way home from work.
