Logies have radio flavour

The 2012 Logies nominees were announced at the weekend and there is a radio flavour to a number of the contenders.

In the Gold Logie category, which is the award for the most popular personality on television: nominated is Southern Cross Austereo's Hamish Blake, for his work on 'The Gap Year' on Channel 9 and former Nova Melbourne presenter Carrie Bickmore for 'The Project' on Network 10.

Both Blake and Bickmore are also finalists in the Silver Logie category, the award for most popular presenter. Also a finalist for a 'Silver' is Mix 101.1 Breakfast Announcer, Chrissie Swan for her work on 'The Circle'.
