Maddi Wright departs Triple M Cairns

Triple M Cairns is looking for a new Breakfast team, after saying goodbye to presenter Maddi Wright over the weekend.

Maddi’s partner has a new job in Melbourne and they will return south to spend more time with her kids, as well as her parents.

“I love my kids, both toddlers and my 4am alarms are turning me into a zombie Mum,” she said.

“Time for a change and to move my family from QLD to Melbourne to live and be closer to my parents. I have spent years in radio in all departments and love radio, I hope to come back to it again soon.

“The Triple M team has nothing but respect for Maddi’s decision and leaves us with all of our support,” said SCA Cairns content director Rod Maldon.

“Maddi is incredibly multi-skilled and has the world at her feet, I have no doubt you will be hearing and seeing more of her in the months to come”

The station also announced that fellow Breakfast presenter Mark Littler is moving to Workdays after more than a decade.

The move also sees mark become operations manager for Hit and Triple M, and to spend more time with family in the early hours.

So the search is on for a new Breakfast team for Triple M Cairns.
