Media i Awards recognise NOVA and ARN salespeople

The most effective radio sales reps from across the country have been recognised at the 2020 Media i Awards with NOVA Entertainment and Australian Radio Network (ARN) staffers winning prizes, but Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) missing out on gongs this year.

ARN won the South Australian, Queensland and Victorian categories, while NOVA Entertainment took out Western Australia and New South Wales.

Radio Sales Person of the Year, Media i Awards: 

  • Western Australia: Daniel Rigg (NOVA Entertainment)
  • South Australia: Jenna Hawkins (ARN)
  • Queensland: Lauren Everist (ARN)
  • Victoria: Tess McLeod (ARN)
  • New South Wales: Talya Levine (NOVA Entertainment)

The hosts noted Queensland’s Everist had now won the award three years in a row.

ARN was also up for state sales team of the year in NSW up against NOVA Entertainment, as well as Spotify, Verizon Media, and Nine’s Digital and TV sales teams, however the category went to Nine Digital.

ARN and NOVA Entertainment were also up for the WA gong against JCDecaux, SBS, and again Nine TV and Digital, with the award going to Nine TV for the second year running.

NOVA was also in the running for National Sales Team of the Year, but it went to Nine TV.

The Media i Awards are orchestrated by the industry body for the country’s media agencies, the Media Federation of Australia (MFA). The winners are voted by agency staff in a bid to improve the industry’s understanding and appreciation of the sales process in delivering media excellence.
