Meet Damon Adams, new on 5MU afternoons

5MU are readying to welcome Damon Adams to their on-air team.

Setting aside his teaching career, Damon has been chasing his radio dream, and his hard work has paid off.

Having completed his studies at the Australian Radio School with Sean Craig Murphy and working regularly on Adelaide community radio, Damon is looking forward to covering 5MU’s afternoon personality Adam Connelly who is some time off to care for his baby girl.

5MU Program Director Mel Dzelde says she’s excited to welcome Damon to the team.

“It’s always a challenge to have a well- loved personality take an extended period of time off. Our listeners and indeed our team will miss Adam’s fun-loving spirit and constant stream of baby photos.

She added: “As a young father of two and with the same passion and creative flair for the business, we are delighted that Damon has agreed to fill in during this time.”
