3AW Breakfast producer Mikkayla Mossop leaving radio

Staff Writer

Radio producer Mikkayla Mossop is departing the industry, taking a role with the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mossop has been with 3AW for four years and is currently a producer on its top-rating Breakfast show with Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft.

Prior to that, she spent time at Ace Radio as a Breakfast announcer, executive producer and digital content co-ordinator.

On social media she said she had adored her time at 3AW, but she hopes the new chapter will be just as amazing, rewarding and wonderful.

Her final day is July 2, and 3AW’s owner, Nine Radio, is currently recruiting for a replacement.

Nine said the successful applicant will be personable, dynamic, focused and team-orientated. They will be charged with driving the program’s talkback element and controlling the screen for the presenters, as well as liaising with the hosts, newsrooms and regular contributors.

In the most recent radio ratings, 3AW had a 20.1% share in Breakfast, ahead of the station’s overall share of 15.6%.

Applications for the producer role are currently open until July 1. You can find more information and apply here.
