The new Australian Singles Report

Staff Writer

The new Australian Singles Report is the first in Australia to combine radio and streaming plays , digital sales and video plays. Every Monday morning at 9am The Music Network’s new Australian Singles Report will feature on Radio Today.

Our new Radio Wrap features – The Top 20, Most Added, New To Radio and new Nova, Hit, KIIS,  triple J and Triple M Top Spins of the Week.

You’re were onto to Neikid’s Sexual last week. The debut single from the (so far anonymous) Swedish collective was the most played song on the Nova Network. It also jumped to #7 from #20 on the TMN Hot 100, while being the fifth most moved track on the Hot 100 Heatseekers chart.

Galantis’ Love On Me sits at #7 on the Hot 100 Breakers chart following its Nova Network Nights addition last week. Should it start receiving extra spins this week or even more additions, then it will likely break into the lower 50 of the Hot 100 this week.

James Arthur remains resolute at #1 for another week with Say You Won’t Let Go reinforced by #1’s on the Hot 100 and iTunes charts.
Meanwhile, The Weeknd’s Starboy ft. Daft Punk is poised to take the top from #2. Its current position at the top of the Spotify chart, while holding #4 on both the Hot 100 and iTunes charts, makes it a strong contender.
Just outside the Top 10 on the Artist Top 20 is Nevada’s The Mack. It’s gained traction with airplay and sales, though its streaming figures have yet to back it up fully, it’s currently at #26 on the Spotify chart.
As predicted by TMN in last week’s Singles To Radio column, Guy Sebastian won over commercial radio with his new heavy-hitting single Set In Stone, which was penned after witnessing a tragic event whilst at a songwriting camp in Bali. Meanwhile, Robbie Williams’ Love My Life proved to be a strong choice for second single in the lead up to The Heavy Entertainment Show, his new album which came out on Friday. The follow-up to Party Like A Russian is our #2 Most Added.
#3 Most Added chart-holder Jonas Blue has now confirmed another hit under his belt, with Take My Breath Away ft. Raye. He now has a 100% strike rate with commercial radio following his breakout success with his rendition of Fast Car.
Funk-pop sensations DNCE hit commercial radio with Body Moves, their grooviest effort to date. The group fronted by Joe Jonas broke out in 2015 with Cake By The Ocean, which currently has just under 450 million streams on Spotify.
Niall Horan’s debut single and undisputed hit This Town earns a Tiesto remix this week. Meanwhile Machine Gun Kelly makes his way to Australian commercial radio with Bad Things, his rap ballad collaboration with Camila Cabello.
TMN will also analyse tomorrow’s stars using predictive charts and social data from Spotify, Shazam, Pandora and Next Big Sound.  Which we feature on Radio Today each Wednesday.
