SCA Sydney and Melbourne GM’s Gone

SCA has dropped a bombshell on both their Sydney and Melbourne markets, as Southern Cross Austereo CEO Grant Blackley has announced this morning that both General Managers will be leaving the company.

Jeremy Simpson, GM for Triple M and 2DAY FM Sydney and Cathy Thomas GM for FOX FM and Triple M Melbourne will both exit at the end of this month.

SCA appears to be following in the tracks of Nova Entertainment, Australia Radio Network and Macquarie Media Group who each went down a similar path in centralising their management structure.

With the recent appointment of COO John Kelly based in Sydney, he will now formerly oversee both markets.

Jeremy Simpson has been with SCA for 14 years – he became GM for Sydney in 2012.

Cathy Thomas has been with the group for over 20 years. Starting in Sales, she became Melbourne GM in 2012.
