Nova 96.9 & KIIS FM have biggest crossover of music in Sydney

With a number of Sydney radio stations altering their music strategies in 2018, AirCheck have crunched the numbers on the first week of Survey #1 of 2019 to see what’s going on a year later.

The results have found that Sydney’s two most CHR-leaning stations, Nova 96.9 and KIIS 106.5, shared the most music playlist.

There were 653 tracks spun across the two stations, with 27.1% of those shared by both.

‘Body’ by Loud Luxury featuring brando was the most played between the two.

Nova 96.9 also shared 22.4% of its playlist with 2DayFM, with the Greatest Hits Workday and More Music, More Variety music formats showing some crossover.

Looking at AC stations smooth and WSFM, the two shared 226 tracks, equating to a 22.7% crossover.

Despite leaning more heavily towards the AC format now, 2DayFM only shared 9.9% of its playlist with music competitor WSFM.
