NOVA Entertainment wins Best Podcast at Mumbrella Publish Awards

NOVA Entertainment’s tailor-made podcast for Genea, Modern Babies season one, was recognised as Best Podcast at the annual Mumbrella Publish Awards last night.

Mumbrella’s Publish Awards recognise the best work in consumer, business-to-business and custom publishing. The Best Podcast award sought to acknowledge the best use of a podcast to tell a story, dissect an issue, explain a topic or provide commentary.

Shortlisted alongside Fairfax Media for GE’s Decoding Genius, Buzzfeed New’s Is It On?, Nine Entertainment Co’s Six Tackles with Gus and Momentum Media’s Smart Property Investment Show, Modern Babies was assessed by jurors as the Best Podcast in this category.

Modern Babies launched in April this year to delve into fertility and IVF. The podcast created an intimate platform to provide information and support about the journey through fertility. Season two was released in September and continues the important conversation about IVF and fertility while diving deeper into personal stories behind conceiving.

Kate Day, NOVA Entertainment’s National Commercial Strategy Director said, “Modern Babies was created to enable listeners to have a more informed experience around fertility and break down the stigma surrounding infertility and IVF.

“Podcasting provided an ideal platform for Genea to connect with listeners by sharing real-life experiences, through original and emotive storytelling, around this personal and often sensitive topic.

Day also acknowledged the impact Modern Babies had on individuals seeking information, advice and shared experiences around fertility.

Genea Head of Brand and Marketing, Nicole Papoutsis said, “We’re always searching for the most innovative way to communicate with our audience and stay head of the curve.

Nicole added: “Working with NOVA Entertainment on Modern Babies gave us an opportunity to provide support and knowledge about fertility and the IVF process in a simple and compelling way.
