NOVA Entertainment launches Missing Persons Podcast Network
The torment of having a loved one go missing haunts thousands of Australians every year. Whether it’s a day, a week or longer, the not knowing can break even the strongest person.
It’s what’s inspired the latest podcast series from NOVA Entertainment. The Missing Persons Podcast is a platform dedicated to telling the stories of the long term missing. Rather than investigating a disappearance, it aims to spread the word to help loves ones get the answers they desperately need.
It follows the success of The Disappearance of Des podcast that shone a light of the 40-year mystery surrounding Des Carr. New evidence has since prompted a Coronial Inquest.
Now, NOVA Entertainment has released What Happened to Zac? 18-year-old Zac Barnes went missing in 2016 and over the course of four episodes, his mum Karen and his family tell of the weeks before and after his disappearance in the hopes of finding closure.
NOVA Entertainment head of podcasting Jay Walkerden believes the platform can play a vital role in finding answers and comfort.
“We know how powerful audio is to share stories. The Missing Persons Podcast Network provides an opportunity four our audience to listen and share these podcasts and, by doing so, they are helping as someone may know something.”
