NOVA Entertainment launches pop-culture podcast ‘The Babble’
The Nova Network has dipped its toe into the pop culture pond with the launch of a new podcast; The Babble.
Helmed by Natalie Bassingthwaite and Matty J, The Babble will explore the biggest, weirdest and most interesting topics that TV and pop culture has to offer.
The pair will reveal their unique experiences of being in the public eye and what really goes on behind the scenes of the biggest reality television shows in Australia.
With an extensive TV and entertainment background, Nat Bass will provide a unique view of events on and off the small screen.
“I am super excited to join Matty J for my very first podcast. He’s my personal favourite Bachelor and we are ready to get down and dirty with all things reality TV – nothing will be off-limits.”
Matty J is well equipped to talk all things popular culture/reality TV after being unlucky in love on The Bachelorette, before finding true love with Laura Byrne in 2017 as The Bachelor.
“These days I’ve turned into such a sucker for reality TV – it’s almost disgusting!” he says. “Being able to turn my guilty pleasure into a job is an absolute dream come true and the icing on the cake is that I get to do it with Nat Bass.”
Nova Network’s managing editor Andrew Brentnall says The Babble will tap into a pop culture-obsessed audience.
“Nat Bass and Matty J may seem like an unlikely pairing, but they have much more in common than you’d initially think. When they first tested, the chemistry was instant and we knew right there and then that they were our show!
“We are so excited to be able to share this new podcast series with listeners.”
The Babble will also serve up articles, videos and social media memes at the podcast’s official website.
