David Schwarz & Mark Allen land new gig at 3AW
Popular former 1116 SEN duo David Schwarz and Mark Allen are heading to 3AW for the 2020 AFL season.
Known as Ox & Marco, the pair will present 3AW’s Saturday evening football coverage this year, presenting from 5pm through to the 7:30pm kick off.
As the Herald Sun reports, they’ll take listeners through a few hours of talkback each week, with their new gig following the demise of Macquarie Sports Radio.
After their public sacking from 1116 SEN in 2017, Ox & Marko underwent legal proceedings against Crocmedia (which they later dropped), before landing a gig on Drive at Macquarie Sport in 2018.
They were one of the first shows to be cut when Nine took over, but since rebranding Macquarie Media to Nine Radio, the network is bringing back the pair on 3AW for 2020.
Others to return to 3AW’s football lineup are Tim Lane, while Gerard Healy will have a more prominent role, and the Sunday pre-game show with Daniel Haford, Mark Robinson and Jimmy Bartel will also return.
Nine recently announced it was reviving the Magic music format in place of Macquarie Sports Radio.

Great news. Give them an afternoon gig please I can’t stand listening listening to a current show on alligator in the arvo. A bloke that thinks he is a clever wordsmith and another that makes me blue.
Been looking for the greatest radio duo in this country if not the world and finally someone has the brains to get you back. Great to hear you back on radio lads, well done 3AW, channel 9 you are a disgrace management at that station are arseholes personified, packer would be rolling in his grave the way the station is now run.Look forward to hearing you again lads all the best.
