Pure Gold Network doubles down on bushfire fundraising efforts

Former Assistant Editor

ARN’s Pure Gold Network continues to push forth with fundraising for bushfire relief in Australia.

Following the release of his specially brewed fundraising Heroes Gold beer, Christian O’Connell stars alongside sidekick Jack Post in a well-produced commercial for the beer.

Filmed and produced by Bravada Films, the commercial thanks “firies, emergency services, community organisations, and all the volunteers who rallied to help the bushfire victims and wildlife.

“We’re raising a beer, to raise funds for you.”

Sydney station WSFM is doing its part for bushfire relief too, with another edition of the popular Pure Gold Live concert.

Hosted by Jonesy & Amanda, the fifth annual concert featured a massive lineup of Australian rock legends, and raised $100,000 for bushfire relief.

Richard Clapton, Ross Wilson, Glenn Shorrock, 1927, The Radiators, Steve Kilbey (The Church), Pseudo Echo, Wendy Matthews, Dragon and the Eurogliders all came out for the two-night event at West HQ’s new Sydney Colleseum Theatre.

While the gig itself raised $50K, that amount was matched by WestHQ, so $100K is set to go to charities WIRES and BlazeAid.
