ABC Canberra has emerged as the #1 station overall in the nation’s capital, with the results of Survey #3 released today.

Previously the top AM station, ABC Canberra rose above its FM rivals to an impressive 15.3% share of listening (+1.7) overall among People 10+.

It’s also been a big year for Radio National in Canberra, and the station continued to improve on its strong second book where it gained 2.2 points, rising even further to a double-digit share with 12.2% (+2.6).

On the FM side of things, it was a disappointing book for both Hit Canberra and Mix 106.3. Hit dropped 1.1, while Mix copped a blow of 1.5, as both stations fell to a 14.3% share of listening.

Radio National also made significant gains in Breakfast, rising to a huge 17.5% share of listening (+4.9) leaving it only behind ABC Canberra’s Dan Bourchier on 18.7% (-0.3).

Hit104.7’s Ned and Josh remained steady on 11.4% (-0.1), but Mix’s ‘The Kirston & Wilko Show’ on Breakfast slid to 13.3% (-1.6).

Hughesy and Kate retained top spot for the Drive home, holding 18.8% (-0.1) over Drive With Courts on Mix 106.3 who fell further to 17.1% (-0.8).
