Hit99.5 Sunraysia is the #1 FM station in Mildura in the first survey for the area since 2016.

Of 800 People 10+, 33.1% (-5.6) said Hit99.5 was the station they listened to most during the survey period.

Hit remained way out ahead of stablemates Triple M with 18.1% (+2.2), while Grant Broadcasters-owned River 1467 was the top AM station on 16.8% (-1.6).

River 1467 was #1 in its target demo of People aged 40+.

New Hit Brekky team Amy and Billows were also unchallenged in their daypart, with 32.8% of respondents indicating they listened to the pair most at Breakfast.

“I’m really pleased and proud of the team for claiming number 1 and 2 in the market today, it’s fantastic to see our hard work come to fruition,” said SCA Mildura GM Alan Burrows.

Commercial radio began to broadcast in the area in 1933, with 3MA (now River 1467) the first station.

“Commercial radio has a long history in Mildura and it’s stayed relevant to today’s listeners over the years by constantly adapting and staying in touch with the needs of the local community,” said Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner.

Mildura’s radio stations serve a population of more than 59,000 People aged 10+ and the survey took place between October 8 and 27.

Mildura is the 78th regional survey to be released since Commercial Radio Australia introduced its new system for regional radio ratings.

The new system allows smaller radio markets to undertake more regular, reliable and cost-effective audience measurement.

As with Xtra Insights other regional surveys, the results do not produce a traditional share figure, but rather on the stations listened to most.
