Radio Today Podcast: What’s next for KIIS FM Melbourne Breakfast?

Staff Writer

This week on Radio Today Tonight, publisher Jake Challenor and editor Vivienne Kelly offer their take on the future of KIIS FM Melbourne Breakfast.

The conversation comes as Polly ‘PJ’ Harding revealed on air this week that she had resigned from station owner Australian Radio Network and will return home to New Zealand in June.

Harding’s decision to leave her co-host Jase Hawkins did not come as a huge surprise. On the podcast last week, Jake and Viv looked at what’s going on behind the scenes of Jase & PJ.

Sources told Radio Today that at least two familiar voices are “in the mix” to replace Harding.

The first was returning Drive host turned 3PM Pick Up regular, Kate Langbroek, along with Lauren Phillips who appeared on KIIS Summer Breakfast with Mornings host Ryan Jon.

But there are other possibilities, too.

All this and more in this week’s episode of Radio Today Tonight.

Radio Today Tonight is back for 2021, coming to you each Thursday (well, mostly) and mixing the biggest news of the week, along with a discussion of all the personalities, politics and pressures involved in the audio industry.
