Ross is “Back” into it

Staff Writer

This is how you do Melbourne’s Number 1 Breakfast show … in your PJ’s at home. Ross Stevenson made his return to 3AW this morning after three weeks away.

Just before the AFL Grand Final Ross went in for surgery for a ruptured disc – the very week his team the Hawks won and he had to watch from hospital.

With Ross is still not well enough to come into the studio, they took the show to his home this morning and celebrated his return with a Pyjama party.

Ross & John and the shows EP will do the show everyday from Ross’s home  until he is ready to return.

It appears that Ross has now become part of an elite club at 3AW. Neil Mitchell, Denis Walter and Tom Elliott have all had issues with their backs at different times.

Back in 2010 Neil Mitchell was carried out on a stretcher to hospital. Two  months ago Tom Elliott had inflammation of the disk caused by over exercising. They tell us that Tom didn’t take any time off work but he was in a lot of pain and got through with lots of pain killers. Tom says he is “made of tougher stuff,” than the other presenters.

And Denis had a back injury about 20 years ago, caused by back spasms and was forced to broadcast from bed when he on 3AK.
