SCA pitch to investors

Staff Writer

Southern Cross Austereo has released a presentation the company made to a Macquarie Investor conference where the company outlines their performance, and their focus points moving forward.

In the presentation SCA state that their regeneration plan for metropolitan radio is underway, and their objectives for the next couple of years are:

  • Regain metropolitan radio share within 2-years and maintain ongoing leadership.
  • Leverage their digital leadership.
  • Increase operational efficiency over the next 2-3 years.

SCA’s objectives are for Today’s Hit Network to be the most listened to radio network in Australia, and for the Triple M Network to dominate the target demographic with deep engagement.

They note that Todays Hit Network currently has 2.42m listeners and the Triple M Network has 2.23m listeners; although they have been a little bit cheeky and added the two cume figures together to claim 4.65m total listeners.

The presentation is similar to the one made to the broader market in February, and the themes and objectives contained within it are consistent with those outlined by SCA at that time.
