Singles Report: David Guetta doubles down on chart domination

For the second time in three weeks, a David Guetta release is Australia’s Most Added single to radio. After 2U ft. Justin Bieber obliterated the competition upon its release in early June, Guetta has wasted no time hitting back with a smooth remix of Bruno Mars’ third single from 24K MagicVersace On The Floor.

The track was playlisted by the Hit regional network and both KIIS stations, and was the only song added across the board to the Nova Network. Hit network host Ash London also added Versace On The Floor to her nights playlist.

Drake’s new single Signs was added by an impressive 140 stations while the official service of Katy Perry‘s Swish Swish ft. Nicki Minaj also garnered a decent response from radio.

After flying high for one week at the top of the TMN Country Chart, O’Shea’s Start Over this week falls to #5, allowing The McClymonts Don’t Wish It All Away to take its place at #1.

One of the most successful artists in the chart’s history, it’s The McClymonts’ eighth #1 on the chart dating back to 2010’s Finally Over Blue which remained steady at the top for four consecutive weeks.

Getting its full service to radio this week, French Montana’s Unforgettable is already the fastest Top 40 riser, currently sitting at new peak #36 on the Hot 100 and #45 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Already internet famous thanks to an eponymous “challenge”, the service should see the track blow up even further at radio and quickly climb the Hot 100 over the coming weeks.

Raising money for those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire in London, charity single Bridge Over Troubled Water also makes itself known. Featuring a strong lineup of English stars including StormzyRita Ora, and Robbie Williams, it has already been picked up by a number of radio networks.

Elsewhere, DJ Khaled‘s Wild Thoughts ft. Bryson Tiller & Rihanna sweeps the Shazam Future Hits, Spotify Viral and Shazam Movers charts, indicating the song’s unmistakable potential to make its way into the digital charts, as well as the Hot 100 over the coming weeks.
