Sir Rod Stewart returns to smoothfm

An old favourite is returning to smoothfm with Sir Rod Stewart be back on the airwaves this weekend a host of Rod Stewart’s Saturday Night Dinner Party.

The two-hour show sees the legendary singer share songs from his favourite artists and will provide the perfect soundtrack for listeners to enjoy their Saturday night.

Sir Rod will handpick the songs that have shaped his love of music and will recount personal stories of artists who influenced his career.

“I’m so happy that smooth is letting me do this. I’ll be taking charge and playing some incredible songs that mean so much to me.”

The multi-award winning singer/songwriter is no stranger to smoothfm, having co-hosted an hour special with Richard Wilkins in 2013 and eight weekend shows in 2015.

Sir Rod Stewart is the latest in a long list of music legends to join the smoothfm line-up including Michael Buble, The Beach Boys, Barry Gibb, Neil Diamond, Elton John and Dolly Parton.

He releases his 30th studio album, Blood Red Roses on September 28th. The 13-track collection will feature a mix of original music and covers.

‘Rod Stewart’s Saturday Night Dinner Party’ can be heard on smoothfm from Saturday 22 September at 6pm.
