Social Scorecard: Radio’s top social posts feat. Fitzy & Wippa, Will & Woody and 1029 Hot Tomato

This week’s top picks for social media content come from Nova Sydney, the KIIS network and 1029 Hot Tomato.

1. Nova Sydney’s Fitzy and Wippa: “Fitzy’s honey trap for his wife”

When you’ve got Google releasing stats that reveal relationships issues were the most searched for topics in 2017, you’re onto social gold. Here the boys have fired up emotional triggers to kick off user engagement – it’s relatable as Fitzy is chatting about his own relationship milestone, there’s humour, and a clear and concise story has been crafted. A very savvy clip from the team, well done!

2. KIIS FM’s Will and Woody: “Peking Duk play Sneaking Duk”

Similar to how brands work with social media influencers, another great way to gain a wider reach is by featuring celebs or well-known identities in video content. Collaborating with Peking Duk was a smart way to build Will and Woody’s brand, and to get their followers attention. After all, your fans and followers don’t visit socials to get slammed with show or network ads! This is a great example of a balance between self-promotion and influencer strategy.

3. 102.9 Hot Tomato: “Ed Sheeran wowing the crowd”

Great content, capitalising on the widely-popular Ed Sheeran tour. A Facebook 360-degree photo gives networks and shows an opportunity to create a more appealing experience for their target demographic. Posting this image also boosts user’s time spent on their Facebook Page, plus the post stands out in their feed and – as you can see from the responses in the comments – triggers great user engagement.

Ed Sheeran wowing the crowd in Brisy tonight! If you were at the show as well let us know what your fave moments were in the comments!
