Star 104.5 has announced the launch of Rabbit & Sarah’s $104,000 Kick Start the Coast.

The initiative offers small businesses a marketing campaign that drives their business and the Central Coast economy, both heavily hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Star 104.5 is offering each recipient radio advertising and digital support.

COVID-19 has had an extensive impact around the world and countless businesses have suffered the loss of income, staffing and customers while incurring ongoing costs.

Paul Moltzen, Star 104.5 commercial director and market lead, said the initiative is about recognising business owners who are suffering through the pandemic.

“We are so proud to be able to do our bit and give the local economy a Kick Start.

“Rabbit & Sarah are passionate about each individual they talk with, recognising their struggles, and it feels for all of us at Star 104.5, that we are doing something truly meaningful,” Moltzen said.

The launch of Rabbit & Sarah’s Kick Start the Coast project opened with a campaign awarded to three locals, including Pam of Nicky Nacky Noo.

Her business is a service for children to enjoy messy, sensory play while learning about textures and promoting imagination.

Nicky Nacky Noo was completely closed for two months amounting to no income.

“It would be amazing,” she said. “It would mean that we would get new clients, and hopefully start the business properly and get a bit of cash flow going for our family.”

For the past week, the creative team at Star 104.5 have been working with Pam to create her commercial which airs from today.

Entries for Kick Start the Coast are open until July 6 at star1045.com.au.
