Stav, Abby & Matt extend show by an hour after listener challenge
Hit105‘s Breakfast team are always keen to hear listener feedback, but they received a call yesterday that they don’t work enough.
Listener Jay called into Stav, Abby & Matt, complaining about the number of public holidays they’ve taken off recently.
“You don’t work a full day anyway, so I reckon you should work them all!”
“What would you like to see us do?” asked Matty.
“We normally come in at 4…” said Abby.
“And you leave by 9:30!” said Jay, to which all three disagreed but laughed.
They agreed that the challenge will take place on Monday, with the guys to stay on air through to 10am from now on!

Stunt. SCA getting more bang for their buck sounds like to me.
I’m sure “listener” Jay called and all three decided spur of the moment to work an extra hour every day… I mean really.
What actually happened is they realised people were flicking across from Nova at 9am to listen to the old school playlist, and they’re hoping to win them over into breakfast.
Ground breaking, this will pull them over from spotify for sure!
Always trying new things and pushing the boundaries. Eggo and the team there are true innovators in the industry!
Damien you should create a podcast where you expertly analyse tactical decisions made by radio stations, I don’t reckon anybody else worked out it was a content decision to help them pick up their workday numbers.
