Hot 100

Calvin Harris enjoys his eighth week at #1 with This Is What You Came For ft. Rihanna while Shawn Mendes sees his highest ever chart peak at #2 from #7 with Treat You Better. Katy Perry takes a new peak at #5 from #20 with new anthem Rise.

Snakehips see a strong second week in the chart with new hit Cruel ft. ZAYN at #26 from #52. DJ Mustard cracks the Top 35 on week three in the chart with Don’t Hurt Me ft. Nicki MInaj & Jeremih, as does Mike Perry’s The Ocean at #35 from #50. Britney Spears’ latest track Make Me ft. G-Eazy is now at #39 from its debut point of #58. Most moved this week is Digital Farm Animals’ Millionaire ft. Nelly & Cash Cash at #48 from #80, making a move of 32 places.

Kicking off the trend of high debuts this week is Major Lazer’s Hot 100 entry at #16 with new singleCold Water ft. Justin Bieber & MØ. It makes for the only notable entry in the chart until Bernard Fanning’s Wasting Time entry at #61.

 

ARIA Singles

Major Lazer debuted at #1 on the ARIA Singles, Streaming and Dance charts with Cold Water ft. Justin Bieber & MØ. Their second track to hit #1 on the Singles chart, it’s the lead single to their forthcoming album Music Is The Weapon, the follow up to Peace Is The Mission, which peaked at #5 in 2015.

Illy continues to set new personal bests with Papercuts ft. Vera Blue, now at #2 from #8 and his highest ever charting single. Anne-Marie cracks the Top 10 with latest hit Alarm, her first ever track to hit the bracket moves to #10 from #12. Ariana Grande takes a new peak just outside the bracket at #11 from #18 with Into You.

Mike Perry finally debuts with The Ocean, entering at #39 followed by Jonas Blue’s Perfect Strangerswhich enters at #42.

 

ARIA Albums

The Top 5 of the ARIA Albums chart this week sees an almost 100% Australian take over with local artists holding 4/5 of the spots. Human Nature take their fourth #1 and the thirteenth by an Australian in 2016 with Gimme Some Lovin’ (Jukebox Vol. II). It’s the follow up to #2 charting albumJukebox and features covers of The Beatles, The Beach Boys and more.

Flume’s former #1 Skin moves back up to #2 from #15 following his headline set at Splendour In The Grass last weekend. Keith Urban returns to #7 from #10 and makes for its 12th week in the Top 10. Periphery take the next debut at #8 with Periphery III: Select Difficulty and is their first Top 10 album on the chart. Matt Corby makes a high re-entry at #22 with latest album Telluric, also seeing a resurgence thanks to his Splendour In The Grass performance.
