The O’Connell Countdown

In just a matter of a few short weeks, British import Christian O’Connell will take to Melbourne airwaves in breakfast on Gold 104.3.

In the meantime, he’s saying goodbye to his legion of loyal listeners, built up over 12 years on London’s Absolute Radio, and he’s planning to go out with a bang in a series of live shows at a Clapham theatre.

He signs off for the final time in a matter of days before hitting the airwaves in Melbourne on June 4th.

As yet, ARN has yet to announce O’Connell’s side-kick as the network looks to win back fans of Jo and Lehmo many of whom remain angry about their axing late last year.

In the meantime, O’Connell’s British fans haven’t heard the last of him. He’s planning a daily podcast for the ‘folks back home’.
