‘The Two Murrays’ return to 2GB and 4BC

Staff Writer

Radio veterans Murray Wilton and Murray Olds are back in the game, joining Nine Radio from this Saturday, October 31.

The Two Murrays have careers which span 2GB, 2UE and the ABC, and will now be heard across Sydney’s 2GB and Brisbane’s 4BC.

The Saturday program will run for five hours – from 1pm on 4BC and 2pm on 2GB 0 and cover news, sport, entertainment, lifestyle, and “plenty of frivolity”. It will finish its run at the start of the NRL season in March, 2021.

Wilton, also the general manager of agriculture and the Sydney Royal Easter Show for the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, said the duo is just a “couple of ordinary blokes having a yarn”.

“We can’t wait to resume the conversation with old and new friends on 2GB and 4BC,” Olds added.

Nine Radio’s head of content, Greg Byrnes, said the Murrays’ friendship is sure to resonate with talk radio listeners.

“We’re so pleased that The Two Murrays have answered the call to team up again for a summer filled with their unique chemistry and banter,” he said.

Last week, Nine Radio announced another summer program, with former Nine TV personality Tim Gilbert fronting a Friday evening slot across 2BG, 3AW and 4BCYour Weekend with Tim Gilbert will provide listeners with ideas on making the most of their weekends.

Wonderful news to have 2 great radio people back on the air. Murray Wilton did such a great job during the bushfires and of course Murray Olds with all his experience.
Great to see the old band back together!

Keep them off Melbourne radio. One other Sydney presenter on a weekend is more than enough.Take 3aw night time host Tony Moclair and his Labor bashing friends like Terry Galloway away from Victorian radio. They think they are funny but are far from it.

While your at it replace boring, fence sitter Ben Fordham with preferably someone with the guts to hit the hot topics important to the community.
Michael McLaren would be a great choice.

What about pushing for the big infrastructure projects this country needs, dams, HELE coal fired power stations and Nuclear power for cheaper electricity, subjects both major parties ignore for starters.

Ben Fordham is sitting there way too comfortable on a good wage, he doesn’t get it!

That’s great news. They are a dynamic radio team, funny and informative and I know them both from years ago. Well done GB.

I Totally agree with Elaine as to Mr Fordham’s Breakfast show non performance he never tackles he just plays touch and repeats the same subject too much absolutely boring show for the money his paid.
