Mamamia’s The Undone podcast launches

Staff Writer

The first episode of Mamamia’s new podcast offering, The Undone, is coming out today.

The Undone was flagged at Mamamia’s Upfronts earlier this year, along with another new offering What I Eat When.

The Undone is co-hosted by Mamamia staff Emily Vernem and Lucy Neville, who also share an inner-city flat. It will candidly dissect life’s big issues from a twenty-something’s perspective, Mamamia said.

“From sex and dating ‘garbage fires’, to politics, money, identity and health, The Undone is made by Gen Zs at Mamamia, for Gen Zs,” publicity about the podcast said.

Mia Freedman, the company’s co-founder, said it’s very exciting to have talent such as Vernem and Neville in-house.

“As soon as we heard their tests we knew there was something special in their chemistry and honesty,” she said.

“As a brand we’re about making every kind of woman feel seen, heard and understood, and with The Undone we’re doing just that for the first generation who have become adults in the age of social media.”

Toyota Yaris Cross has come on board as the launch partner via its media agency TMS.

Toyota Australia’s chief marketing officer, John Pappas, said the combination of Toyota’s all-new Yaris Cross with The Undone podcast is the perfect pairing.

“The Yaris Cross embodies fresh style with a game-changing presence, which we believe will really complement Emily and Lucy as they embark on this new adventure together,” he said.

“We’re thrilled to be part of Mamamia’s new offering and are very much looking forward to tuning in.”

New episodes of The Undone will be released every Thursday.

Mamamia now claims to be Australia’s number one women’s media business across written, eDMs, video, social, influencers, member panels, live events, podcasts and online courses. It boasts over 100 million podcast downloads.
