It was a big year for Australian radio too, with commercial radio patriotically doubling its airtime for domestic artists in the space of one calendar year, seeing a drastic improvement on the state of the format 12 months ago.

It was a big year for homegrown acts Amy Shark, Dean Lewis and 5 Seconds of Summer, while internationals George Ezra, Camila Cabello and Rudimental all spent time atop the TMN Hot 100 on 2018.
